The Nurse Navigator is contacted when an abnormality is found on a clinical exam and/or radiographic result and further testing is needed.

The Nurse Navigator can meet with the newly diagnosed patient to ensure that they understand the Nurse Navigation role and assure they understand what is recommended by the oncologist.

Your Nurse Navigator will assist the patients with financial navigation when a barrier may cause a delay or interruption in patient care. Delays in treatment due to insurance issues may result in life altering consequences. This specialized area within navigation has proven to improve the quality and continuity of care while providing the patient a positive health care experience.

Your Nurse Navigator ensures that all recommended procedures are performed and will alert you immediately if follow-up issues arise.

Your Nurse Navigator Team will work directly with the specialist to provide seamless continuity of care to the newly diagnosed cancer patient.

Your Navigator can expedite scheduling and necessary testing such as MRI, PET/CT, MUGA, bone scans, facilitating the patient’s treatment plan without added burdens on your patient.

Your Nurse Navigator Team is specialty trained and qualified to answer common questions regarding chemotherapy, surgery, pathology and radiation.

Your Nurse Navigator can ensure that your patient is reviewed at our Tumor Conference by our multi-disciplinary team of physicians, nurses and pathologists.
